  1. The Diocese is holding a walkathon in Tung Chung today (23 February) to raise funds for the construction of a new church in Tung Chung and supporting Catholic cemeteries. We invite parishioners to offer support by placing donations in the designated collection box at the St. John Bosco Foyer or make online donations directly to the Diocese. Please refer to the poster for details.
  2. In this Year 2025, the Universal Church celebrates the Jubilee Year, and the theme is “Pilgrims of Hope”. The Diocese has specially produced a Jubilee Pilgrimage Handbook, which includes information concerning “Jubilee Year Indulgences”. By fulfilling the basic conditions and performing the works prescribed, you may gain Jubilee Year plenary indulgences. Please take a copy and make good use of the handbook.
  3. For our parishioners’ spiritual nourishment, the Parish will organize a Lenten Season Bible Reading and Prayer Activity from 9 March (First Sunday of Lent) to 17 April (Holy Thursday). We invite you to form or join a group with five to seven people. All are to read the daily Gospel and pray with God’s word. Each person will take turn every day to share the bible text that has touched you with fellow members of the group. Registration forms will be provided by the Parish Office for participation in this enriching Lenten exercise.
  4. The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, the Community of Taize and Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui will jointly organize a Jubilee Event – Taize Meeting for East Asian Youth – from 2 May to 5 May in Hong Kong. The theme is “Hope beyond all hope”. Young people aged between 16 and 35 are invited to participate. The programme includes common prayer, Bible reflection, fellowship and themed workshops. Deadline for registration is 16 March. Please refer to the poster for details.
  5. The new quarterly issue of Living Faith from April to June is now available. This spiritual booklet can accompany you to walk together with God’s guidance and direction through His Word. Purchases can be made at the Parish Office.
  6. The Parish’s five Chinese catechumenate classes for adults continue to recruit new comers. All parishioners are invited to share good news with relatives and friends who do not yet know Jesus and welcome them to attend our catechism classes.
